Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Mayor and Council approve the attached resolution to appoint Barack Matite, Deputy City Manager to serve as the Acting City Manager.
Discussion
Pursuant to Article VI, Section 1.a. of the Rockville City Charter, the Mayor and Council is authorized to appoint a City Manager who shall serve as the head of the administrative branch of the City government.

This is the second time this item has come before the Mayor and Council.
Next Steps
Upon approval by the Mayor and Council, the Deputy City Manger Barack Matite will serve as the Acting City Manager, until such time as the Mayor and Council shall appoint a City Manager.
