Councilmember Barry Jackson requests a proclamation declaring May 2025 as Stroke Awareness Month in Rockville Maryland. CM Jackson would like to read and present this proclamation at the May 12, 2025, Mayor and Council Meeting.
Background information:
May is both National Stroke Awareness Month and American Stroke Month, highlighting the importance of understanding and acting quickly when someone experiences a stroke. Stroke, or a brain attack, occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, leading to potential brain damage.
