Recommendation
Staff recommends the Mayor and Council authorize the City Manager to sign the MOU for Amendment Two.

Discussion
The City was awarded funding through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and entered into a subgrant agreement with the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) in 2021. The funding supports the design of the Stonestreet Corridor Improvements CIP project TA20 (attachment 1). The total TAP award is $280,000, with an additional $70,000 local match. This Amendment Two of the MOU (attachment 2) will further extend the project term to April 26, 2027.

Mayor and Council History
Amendment One to the original MOU initially executed on April 26, 2021, was approved by the Mayor and Council during the meeting on February 6, 2023. Amendment One extended the project's term through April 26, 2025.
Next Steps
After the City Manager signs the document, it will be sent to MDOT SHA for their signatures.
